Tetracycline
Tetracycline is an antibiotic that can be used for a wide array of infections that have been caused by the presence of bacteria in the body and their multiplication. You will need to take this medicine from one to several times a day (depending on the condition you are being treated for) with a glass of water. Taking it with milk can lower the efficiency of tetracycline, but there are special kinds that can be taken with dairy products – you can specifically ask your doctor for them. While taking tetracycline, especially at the beginning of the treatment, you may develop certain side effects that are expected to be mild and shouldn’t last for too long. Side effects such as diarrhea, swollen tongue, trouble swallowing, vomiting, swelling in your rectal or genital area, sores inside your mouth, stomach upset, and mild nausea are supposed to be reported to your health care provider only if they get bothersome and start to interfere with your everyday activities. Make sure you let at least 2 hours to pass after the following remedies before you can take your dose of tetracycline, or vice versa: iron supplements, calcium supplements, antacids, multivitamins, and laxatives. Do not let other people take your medicine, as this ma cause health consequences for them.
